Has anyone else encountered insect like bites due to CLL? Was there any tx that worked other than topical antihistamines? I was dx with CLL14 years ago and have not needed any tx. This began about 6 months ago.

Insect like bites due to CLL
Kirby, welcome! We have a slew of past posts about insect bites. You can read them by looking at the column beside your posting: Related Posts.
We do have many reports of exaggerated response to insect bites. However, there is also the need for your Dr. to look and test for the possibility of there being a skin reaction happening in regard to CLL itself. So, while you may discover it is as you are thinking an insect bite, to be safe I would check with my CLL Dr.
If you can, also see a dermatologist for a thorough skin check if you haven't already done so.
Six months of worry can be a long time to spend without knowing an answer. I hope you can find what it is and get it cleared up/tended to rather than trying to treat it with what might irritate and make the issue more complex to deal with.
Secondary cancers are something we CLLers need to get screened for since our immune systems are lowered. Not saying your situation is a secondary cancer, but that we do need to be aware of needing to let the Drs. sort any unknown and long-lasting anomalies such as you are describing.
Prior to CLL no issues. Since each summer i have been bitten which became infexted and had an exaggerated response needing antibiotics to sort out.
I was bitten by a poisenous spider on my face. It could have been a lot worse however I do have a small scar to remind me of it. I saw dermatology every week for 6 weeks. They took a pictures, put me on antibiotics typical and pill. It was horrible waited for the enzymes to stop dissolving me.
