Hello everyone 😊. I am new here and found your comments interesting. I also have CLL for 6 years now, where since June 2019 it's taken a conciderable rise. I have been on the watch and wait since. As June isn't that long ago it's given me time to look at what I'm doing different . So, check list remain on healthy eating.

Get as much fresh air as I can

Remain posstive some times very hard when depression kicks in, yet just give in, go through what I have to go through knowing it will pass rather than fight it.

When back on the upwards mend play music I like and stay away from negativity.

Stress was the biggest factor from June onwards. So, until my next blood check in November I intend to remain calm rest and do things that make me happy .

I want to see if that has any affect on my blood count.

Welcome Tamerfilly,

Don't forget that your lymphocyte count is only a part of CLL, one which can be easily tracked through blood tests. What happens in our blood marrow, nodes and spleen is also important, but harder to assess. You can get a good indication of how your bone marrow is faring by watching for downward trends in your haemoglobin, platelets and neutrophils, but a physical examination by your specialist is needed to check how the rest of your body is faring.

These posts provide information on how you can track your blood test results and explain the relevance of different blood tests to CLL.

Indeed, healthy eating, exercise (which really can help reduce stress and provide many other health benefits) and other stress reduction techniques can assist our bodies to remain as healthy as possible so that we can live well with CLL.

Do let our community know about your blood check next month, but keep in mind that counts do bounce up and down, so it is overall trends that are important.
