There is an excellent chance your mother’s energy levels will improve on ibrutinib, particularly if she is taking it as her first treatment.
Insofar as sleep is concerned, I would try natural remedies first such as staying hydrated, exercising to the extent she can, meditation, taking walks, improving diet, and avoiding caffeine.
She might also discuss with her doctor what over the counter and or prescription drugs that would be appropriate for her situation. I would not be surprised to learn her sleep improves as ibrutinib works it’s magic. Some people respond quite rapidly to ibrutinib.
I'm 70 ,with 17p deletion, and started taking Ibrutinib at the beginning of June. Two months of treatment led to a marked increase in my energy levels. After several years of interrupted sleep, due to excessive nightime sweats, I'm now sleeping 8 hours most nights.
Thank you I'm telling my mum everything from here and it's giving her hope x
