Try acupuncture and homeopathy. 💕

I hope that was a joke, because both acupuncture and homeopathy rate very, very poorly in clinical trials. Both have been shown to be no better than a placebo.

I wasn't referring to the CLL. Was referring to the UTI. I am able to get rid of them with homeopathy. Misunderstood her asking for suggestions. Definitely know that route or anything for that matter does not cure! Thanks for clarifying!

A true homeopathy tincture is pure water, but often what is sold contains something that is known to help with the condition of concern. Famously, during the UK partiamentary review referenced below, the UK representative for homeopathy was asked whether it was possible to tell apart two homeopathy remedies if the labels came off and she said no.

Acupuncture treatments do work, but it's because of what accompanies inserting needles into the skin :) .

Clarifying thanx to AussieNeil. Was referring to ur UTI. Always check with your doctor. Mine allowed homeopathy as long as it wasn't during chemo. She was impressed with my uneventful side effects which was helped with acupuncture. But to be clear...none of those options should be in place of traditional treatments. 💕

Have you discussed your greater incidence of tough to clear infections with your CLL Specialist? Do you know how healthy your immunoglobulin (IgA, IgG and IgM counts) and your neutrophil counts are now? You may meet the requirements for starting IgG infusions, by which you get an immunity boost from blood/plasma donors.

Importantly, you are sure to get more helpful suggestions if you include in your post title that you are struggling with infections and you are on Ibrutinib :) . Select 'More v' under your post, then 'Edit'.

My own experience has been..... when I got my vitamin D serum levels above 100nmol/l my infections decreased dramatically, I read several hundred studies on D and it has had a significant impact on my situation. Good Luck!

I presume you had antibiotics for your UTI’s? I would try to get an appointment with a urologist to see if your have an infection that is not being completely cleared up with the drugs that have been used. Sometimes this happens, and a stronger antibiotic has to be used. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water, as this drug is killing lots of cells that need to be flushed out. I have to drink a minimum of 80 oz (US) a day to keep from having issues. I would definitely question my GP about his thoughts on seeing a specialist about this.
