Without a doubt Prof. Peter Hillmen’s Team, St. James Hospital, Leeds.

One of the best in the country!

You’d have to probably say THE best. He certainly seems to be the UK doctor with the biggest current international reputation as an expert in CLL. I suspect him and his team have probably written more papers than other groups too. And as the lead investigator for FLAIR which so many of his colleagues have signed up to, it would seem that he has huge respect from his peers also.

As you’ve already been advised, Professor Hillmen is brilliant as are all his team. I am treated by them and couldn’t ask for anyone better.

I can certainly agree with all replies above! Prof Peter Hillmen was my husband's oncologist for about five years. look up his profile on Wikipedia ..... not only is he a true expert in cll , for my husband he diagnosed a rare lung disease ..... nothing to do with cll, by doing so my husband completed numerous tests at the Freeman in Newcastle, ultimately having major lung surgery at Papworth . At every opportunity I will sing praise for Peter Hillmen, he saved my husband's life.

The Bexley Wing, St.James hospital leeds is a designated cancer unit, very pleasant, they even have an hotel for use by relatives on the top floor. do let us know how you get on.

Absolutely agree - Prof Peter Hillmen is the best I have been under his care for just over 6 years now - I trust him completely.

Not only is he an expert in Cll, but Prof Hillmen is a good human being - he is caring and very approachable.

His team are a reflection of him.
