How to tell if platelets are low

How can you tell if you’re platelets are low and has anyone had their eyelids to be red and infection on them and I’m having blurry vision my vision is blurry now I can’t tell what I’m writing I hope you can read this .

Top priority is seeing your doctor about your eyes. You may have conjunctivitis (which is extremely infectious) or some other bacterial eye infection which if so, will require an antibiotic eye drop treatment.

With respect to low platelets, or more correctly inadequate clotting capability, you may get warning signs of increased bruising, bleeding, bleeds taking longer to stop or petechia - small red dots under the skin. To be certain requires blood testing.

Lucy - Get yourself to an eye specialist TOMORROW!!!! (Today if you are in the UK) Infection is likely, but there are other possibilities and you need an MD who focuses on eyes to sort things out!!! Imagine having to lose your vision!

When my hemoglobin goes below 8 ...

I get so tired, weak, chest pains, shortness of breath and my urine turns very dark. Also, I go into A-fib and have lower back pain. I call the doctor and usually wound up getting a unit of blood 😫 after blood tests. This is pretty much my life now; I have had 6 units of blood since last August.

hi , Yes i have had several eye lid infections --corrected with an anti biotic eye cream , Am on no treatment .2 &1/2 years w and w . Best of luck--Barb Nz
