How much Magnesium is recommended for muscle spasms?
Magnesium: How much Magnesium is recommended for... - CLL Support
Magnesium
You should discuss it with your doctor.... what is right for me may cause you diarrhea. Try increasing your water drinking first...

I don't think it contains magnesium but you can try drinking some Gatoraid (I like the orange) which has sodium and potassium .
I used to get terrible muscle cramps/spasms in my calves, long before CLL showed up. Someone told me to drink Gatoraid and since then (decades ago) I have not had a single muscle cramp/spasm.
These types of things can definitely come from being dehydrated and electrolyte imbalance.....gatoraid will fix it. Find a flavor you like....lots of the flavors are kinda gross...but orange and grape, yum
Here is another thread.. someone mentions powdered lemonade crystals...
I used magnesium glycinate. I think it was 400. It worked for me. Check with ur doc. I was able to week off after 4 months.
I need to ask about "Crystal Light Diet Pink Lemonade"
This was mentioned in my post also but when I look at this product online its ingredients are all 0%, some sights show 2% Sodium and everything else 0% ..... Great right??? ... well sorry but NO. What is this? and if it is made up of 0% and only 2% sodium (Salt) then why do I need to buy it?
This seems very strange to my, what is the other 98% made up of?
We may have different ingredient listing rules in Australia so the list of 0% everything just makes me wander ... "then what IS in this and they are not telling me?"
Anyone know more about this product?
You may be reading the nutrition info and not the ingredients list. Here is an example of what it typically would contain:
Citric Acid, Potassium and Sodium Citrate, Aspartame (Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine), Magnesium Oxide, Contains Less then 2% of Natural Flavor, Lemon Juice Solids, Acesulfame Potassium, Soy Lecithin, Artificial Color, Yellow 5, BHA (Preserves Freshness).
None of these, when used according to package directions, are a significant portion of your daily nutrition but provide flavor and color only.
I agree with the magnesium glycinate supplementation. There is also magnesium spray/gel as it is easily absorbed through the skin and it may provide some relief. Epsom salt soaks may also help.
Best to you.
Mmmm, tried 400 mg first had diarrhea, went to 250 mg and is working good.
