50 yr old son had 6 cycles of FCR in 2017. In complete remission over a year. Recent wbc and platelets way down. What is happening?

Back to onco-hemo dr in 2weeks. BWB biopsy will be needed if counts do not go up. Son feels fine. Any thoughts?

Where are his absolute neutrophil count and absolute lymphocyte count, what do you consider 'way down' for the platelets?

Platelet counts under 50 is low, mine were recently 18, very low, and my neutrophils were zero...

I don,'t see much cause for concern... but I'm not a doctor.. just a patient....FCR can have a late effect, but probably a BMB would be best to assess his marrow...

I have been an avid follower of this site for 16 months and a very concerned mom.Thank you for your reply.

I agree with Chris about those results not being of immediate concern, That a BMB will be done if they don't recover shows that his specialist is providing adequate monitoring.

Those numbers aren’t bad

Since my son's remission all numbers were good these lower values are worrisome. However, my son continues working ,planning and playing. It took him about a year to come out of a deep depression after CLL moved in. Thank you Maybe I will not be alone anymore.
