Dehydrated
Good reminder. I had bad leg cramps this morning. Some other mornings too. Forgot about dehydration as a possible cause. I was thinking insufficient magnesium/potassium. But I try to eat the kind of diet high in those things.
Good general advice Joanne (though it doesn't always work out for me). When you say flush the toxins out from the meds, are you particularly referring to Imbruvica which I see you take?

I do take imbruvica. I have been a vegetarian for 35 years. I try to eat organic and lead a relatively healthy lifestyle. I too had a difficult time learning and adjusting to having been diagnosed with CLL. Not possible said I. I am now Vegan. We are what we eat so I just added a drink to that. Water won't cure our CLL but it will keep your blood flowing and help cleanse our system.
I've always had a hard time drinking enough water. When I started chemo I found a 64 ounce pitcher, filled it each morning with water and made sure it was empty by the end of the day. 5 months post chemo and I still do this. This is not always practical though when not home so then I tally each glass I drink. Doesn't seem to work as well for me but it helps.
I try to take a small bottle with me when I leave the house. Water isn't always fun so I have to make an effort too. I like the pitcher idea.
For me, severe leg cramps were caused by lack of vit. D and magnesium. Since I've topped these up, I've been fine. Hope you have found a solution -- these cramps are no fun. All the best. Donna
Found out had CLL in Sep 2020 (W&W mode) shortly after had severe nightly leg cramps, ones that make you shoot out of bed bigtime pain.
What solved it was taking 100% daily allowance for magnesium (2 pills/day) solved it ever since! Like a magic pill it was!!!!
