Pelvic nodes, stupid question
Hi Awksom, unfortunately swollen nodes in the groin area can be an unfortunate symptom we CLL/SLL'ers suffer but yours sound pretty extreme and I notice from your other posts that you are struggling with prostate problems. It's certainly not a stupid question.
It must be particularly uncomfortable riding a bike too. Your last post said things seemed to have settled somewhat but if the problem is intensifying, please consult your doctor for further advice.
Best wishes,
Newdawn
Hello Awksom,
I cycle petty much daily and have enlarged lymph nodes in the groin area (CLL 18 months post FCR - but lymph nodes returned in last three months) (and an enlarged prostate too by the way) I sometimes experienced unpleasant dull aches in the groin area (not unlike mild sciatica)
Following some minor knee surgery which has taken a long time to heal I found it difficult to "get my leg over" so traded in my faithful older bike for a younger model (some inadvertent double-entendres here!) The problem with the new bike was the saddle and the saddle height. I took it back to the shop explained my problems to the bike shop sales-person and we tried a couple of saddles out.
I have to say that it has improved matters somewhat; however I don't think I could cycle for long periods as in my younger days. Mind you I have pretty bad fatigue much of the time.
Another thought is that it might be a form of sciatica in the groin rather than the rear end!
Best wishes and happy cycling,
Roger
