Yes if you are having UTIs and no doctor has called you back you need to go to the ER and get put on medicine right away. I had another friend who had a UTI and CLL and by the time she got to the hospital she was septic and died 12 hours later. Don't let this happen to you.
I talked to the oncologist and they said to just go to GP and gets some meds. I went and they did a culture to see what the actual cause is. They also referred me to a urologist. He said I might have stones too so they are going to check it out. They wrote a prescription for a different type of antibiotic thinking maybe I've become immune to the other one. Feeling better today
Yes I sympathize with you and your frequent UTIs as I have the same. I agree with Ellieoak, if you're at the stage of urinating blood don't wait for GP to assist go to emergency - you may need meds immediately, which I have done several times. After a continuous bout, I was referred to Urologist, to check for other underlying problems, and now have him follow me regularly, with standing orders for urine culture now when ever I feel the need. Also Dr. advised if symptoms become severe and I feel unwell, sweats, fever etc. I should seek immediate medical attention.
