Has anyone got any suggestions as to why my lymphocyte count would suddenly increase to over 10,000 I do not have a fever but feel not quite right

Sudden increase
Hi Sharron, obviously it's impossible to speculate with any certainty but if you're not feeling 'quite right', it could be that you have a subclinical infection (sometimes referred to as pre-infection) that you're unaware of. In that situation your lymphocyte and probably WBC would jump a little in response to the pathogen. Although it sounds worrying, a jump from 5 to 10 (UK measurement) is not as desperate as it sounds. My levels can vary by much more and medics don't get too excited unless your ALC is over 30 and starting to double in a 2 month period. It's not as significant as it seems at this very early stage but we are naturally primed to worry about any increase.
However, keep an eye on your temperature and seek advice if you develop signs of an infection.

Hi Sharron,
Tracking your blood test results over time will provide a better picture of what's going on (actual disease progression). As Newdawn says, they look at the doubling time of the absolute lymphocyte count (ALC#, not percentage).
This excellent post from AussieNeil provides links to download a spreadsheet for tracking your bloodwork. It also has valuable info about Understanding Your CLL Blood Tests (with Dr. Susan Leclair) healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
You mentioned in your profile that you deleted your previous profile and rejoined. So I apologize if this is redundant info.
Thank you your advise was easy for me to understsnf
