Monocytes

Had check up this time monocytes over the limit o f 1 , mine 2.3

White blood and lymphocytes up another 15 percent meaning in 6 months doubled 

Next test September

Your high level of monocytes indicates a probable infection, which would also likely account for your increased lymphocyte count. (Your increased white blood cell count would be due to both your monocytes and lymphocytes being raised.)

Given your next test is 6 months away, your specialist is obviously not at all concerned, or surely you would have been asked to have more frequent blood tests? So am I correct in assuming you have no other symptoms of concern to your specialist and possibly your absolute lymphocyte count (ALC), is still under 30? (CLL specialists don't calculate CLL doubling time until your ALC has reached 30.)

I'd see this as a good result, with possible treatment still some way off.

Alc August = 32  now 78 . So ct scan . Then next blood test middle o f summer if doubles again then looking at Stage 2

OK, so unfortunately you do meet a trigger for commencing treatment - an ALC doubling time of less than 6 months with the first ACL above 30.  This is viewed by CLL specialists as the least important of reasons for starting treatment.  Thankfully it looks like you have a specialist who is prepared to investigate for more important reasons to start treatment - hence the CT scan.

Rai Stage 2 requires Lymphocytosis (raised ALC) and hepatomegaly and/or splenomegaly (enlarged liver and/or spleen) with/without lymphadenopathy (enlarged nodes)

Rai stage 1 requires Lymphocytosis and lymphadenopathy, stage 0 only Lymphocytosis (ALC) >15

So if your spleen and liver are still normal, you may still fall into stage 1 or possibly even stage 0 if you  have no enlarged internal nodes.
