Got a date for my babies transplant....
Can't begin to imagine how you're feeling but didn't want to read and run. wishing you all the best of luck and a speedy recovery for your baby and partner. Let us know how it goes. They'll be in the best hands xxx
Brilliant news! I was the only parent overjoyed in kid's intensive care! I saw it as a new beginning and new life. THat was nearly 5 years ago and Lilly is now 6 and happy and healthy (well as healthy as she can be without an immunity!). She swims, rides horses, plays football for a team and does all the things other children do. Good luck!!!!!

Bad news guys found out at 7pm last night that the liver was not able to split im abs devasted x
It is a scary time but you have an excellent back up plan with the living donor surgery planned for your baby. I'm scheduled to be our little boy's living donor in a few weeks and I have to think of both operations as a difficult time for the whole family but my boy will wake from his operation without liver disease and will go on to lead a lovely, healthy life. I'll be sore but very excited to see him looking better. Meanwhile don't let it spoil your enjoyment of your daughter's childhood. Keep in touch.
Sorry it didn't work out yesterday, you must be on such a Rollercoaster of emotions at the moment. At least you have your plan b for the 21st. Stay strong and lots of luck and good health wishes xx
Best wishes for this coming Friday, my little girl had liver transplant at age 2 years at LGI last year and I as her father was the liver donor as we could not find any matching cadaveric liver donor. It's nearly 6 months post operatively with no complications. The team at LGI and St. James hospital are excellent. I have a strong belief that your child and your partner's operation will be 100% successful. The best thing is to optimistic
