I had drug eluding stents put in twelve months last October and when the Consultant said to me I'll bid you farewell Mr E I said you're discharging me then and he said " No Mr. E , I'm signing you back to a full life"! I am now back to trail and road biking together with gym work, swimming and spin classes and planning to do a triathlon later this year. So onwards and upwards Sir, the best of luck for the future.

i also have these stents. i am not as active as you as i have other health issues but walk when weather permits and am trying to live a healthier lifestyle.Good luck with your triathlon.x

I had a stent 14 years ago, and another 3 stents, 8 years ago. I lost weight, got active, ate well, and am much stronger and healthier than I was 14 years ago :)

Unfortunately, the NHS cannot afford to keep track of us, but if you are worried, have a stress ECG done every couple of years privately.

i understand that .not worried at all, just wondered if the reason we dont get recalled is because after stent fitting we are not supposed to need to be seen again.if thats so, then great
