im 27yo,i had a nightmare n suddenly woke up ,my left hand started paining...do i need to worry??
If it is only pain in your left hand, then you haven't got a heart problem.
But please always remember to go straight to the A&E if you suspect you have a heart attack. Better to feel foolish than to let your heart fail due to a lack of action.
Were you lying on it? I've done that before - have me quite a scare - but like the other comment says, go check. Better safe than sorry and the medics won't mind.
It could also be RSI (Repetative Strain Injury) Do you do a lot of computer typing and texting? You probably do, and if you are right handed the left hand may be objecting to the extra use! If you get pins and needles when using it, or a pain along the wrist and up the thumb joint this could also be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (which I had) there is treatment for both of these conditions, rest, pain killers to start with then other alternatives via your GP. Don't panic, go to your GP if it happens again, and see what he says. All the best
