sorry to hear that Rias.....

I've got 10 of em and they've all settled in, so can't really help you, except to say did they not tell you your options??

I could only think it is anti rejection drugs or CABG, but i'm no expert.....I'd want to have a word with the cardiologist quickly and find out what his thoughts are.

All the best

Tony

hi there i'd be asking what the alternatives are. and if there are any meds to counteract the rejection.

be positive it does us more harm than good to worry.

best regards markanthony

Don't worry Rias. Your surgeon can always resort to a by-pass.

i am amazed by the answers given. I had two stents fitted into coronary arteries 18 months ago and after 6.week checkup never had any other checkups.I didnt even know you could have more than two stents fitted before you would need bypass.what symptoms did you have and how did the doctors know your stent had collapsed I was never told you can have rejection.

Very sorry to hear this but your cardiologist should advise you I thought as soon as this happened you would have an immediate appointment to put you on new anti rejection drugs. My husband was told that he must take it for a year and it sounded as if they meant a year to the day but as we were going to be away and he didn't feel sure he rang the department and was told it didn't really matter if he took it for the rest of his life it was just a minimum of a year. Any pains at all dial 999 don't think about it.

Hello,

Please check with both your GP and cardiologist about your medication. Aspirin can cause bleeding!!, watch out for this.

I have been in hospital with a relation who had TAVI operation and then went through two stomach positrons!!! Medication has been a real question?

Who decide on medication you or the consultants? Your body can let you know.

Good luck.
