If you are French - Optimal upper LDL level quoted as 5.7!!

Very interested to see this report policy-centre.com/downloads.... Ok, so other Euro countries have much lower levels, but all the same, France has one of the lowest rates of heart disease in Europe.

not sure why, but if you google European cholesterol guidelines report it should come up under Policy centre.com

Your link works Ted. It's an interesting (but weighty) document comparing different European countries.

I thought Deepblue confused LDL levels with TC, but she is right. France also recommends fibrates as a first line treatment not statins. Will read in more detail.
