Cinnamon is a natural cholesterol lowering spice.. We add a teaspoon to porage every day. Also have a plant sterol drink daily too... Last test was just in range.

Plant sterols are directly linked to an increase in CHD - is that what you want?

CHD is coronary heart disease.

You mention statins.

Oh dear!

So many things more effective than statins but first, look at the REASON you're on statins

Then address the cause

Watch out for hidden and free sugar in food. Regular exercise, food and drinks intake control can help towards a healthy life! Green leaf veg, Indian veg and Indian spice (can get them in most super market now days), in cooking can help as well. Portion control is also necessary. GP's have cholesterol numbers to check and offer medication, numbers vary from people to people in blood test but GP's numbers are the same in guide lines.

What are your cholesterol numbers and the reason for blood cholesterol test? How is your general health?

i am not feeling comfortable with statins and i am trying to lower the dosage and to put in place some other natural supplement. I had a stent 4 months ago

Please discuss your actions with your cardiologist! Medication do help some people. Medication is necessary for blood flow after stent!

By the way how many stent did you have? How is your general health?
