After having a reading of 10.4 I finally have an appointment with a lipid clinic I just want to know what to expect... thanks

Hi Lyngal, I have been attending the lipid clinic for some years now. I usually attend every 6-9 months and they will do your bloods, weight, and blood pressure before you see the pathologist. They may also screen you for a genetic makeup test which could cause high cholesterol. For your cholesterol levels they may put you on a statins straightaway.

While you are waiting for your appointment you can look at food & drinks intake control, looking out for free sugar and hidden sugar in pre prepared food and drinks regular exercise can help.

Human body makes 80 % of cholesterol on demand and 20 % form our intake.

There are new technology and new methods for testing for hear problems, may be you can ask your GP for a cardiologist referral or go for private CT scan, this CT scan can give a lot of information.
