Anyone with a serious interest in diet and health cannot possibly be unaware of the plethora of articles appearing in the media on the subject. The message, subtle or overt, is that the advice we have been given since the early eighties - replace saturated fat/cholesterol laden foods with healthy carbohydrate is just plain wrong.

The juggernaut has started rolling, and it looks unstoppable. Astonishingly the USDA is gradually backing away from what they have been advocating for the past 40 years.

Yes, I have become interested in a low carb diet, which implies more sat fat etc. The more I look into this, it's turning my ideas of what is a good diet on its head.
