I just became a member of Heart UK and believe I notice a difference in the system of measuring cholesterol between America and the UK. In America the total cholesterol should be under 200. I wonder if anyone can tell me how to translate the numbers between the two systems for the different kinds of cholesterol and total cholesterol. Thank you.

The units of measurements between UK and USA are different, there are conversation sites you can find on the Internet by searching in Google. If one is not familiar with the units it can be confusing!
Yes, you are correct Joe - the results are the same but the way to measure them are different. It is very easy to convey from one to the other by going online to onlineconversion.com/choles...
You have the answer above, but just out of curiosity, which side of the pond are you?
The western side. The US.
Hi Joe
Divide your USA number by 38.67 to get UK number. So USA 200 divided by 38.67 is same as UK 5.17
