lump cancer test ...... got the results

and thankfully, all clear. My funny lump is benign. Its just bizarre, but benign.

I don't think I have ever had more trepidation in opening an envelope, until I realised it wouldn't get out of the envelope on its own unless Houdini sent it.

I know all results don't go that way, so there is no celebration here, just a big hug shared.

In a wierd way, it seem like almost the wrong result. It says on my letter, my lump should give you no further trouble.

Really?

I can't sleep, I'm in pain, and it is an infection risk. So plenty of scope for trouble then.

But the C word for now is one we can put to bed.

It probably means that this wretched thing will be with me for some while, as it is now relatively low priority and it may be a fair time before surgery will go ahead. They do after all have now lots of time to plan and do the best job possible.

From all this I've been cause to remember, journeys sometimes don't have a final destination. And sometimes, they do, but the route is not obvious. This one has been a full Hampton Court Maze puzzle......

But we can move now somewhat forward , and the shadow of not knowing is past.

Best wishes to all.
