Hold your head high .... and roar.

Had a bad day. I went for a job I genuinely wanted. I don't want many, but this I did.

The work if anything was below my level, but I would have enjoyed it none the less, and the people were good.

Down to a shortlist, and I get an equal ops questionnaire. "Do you have any medical conditions ...."

Yes, I do, and it comes under disability discrimination so, be careful.

And today I hear they have gone for the other candidate on a reason that is demonstrably false.

Yes, they could have decided that legitimately, but it makes you wonder. and it can make you cynical.

And goodness knows, I'm grumpy enough as an IT engineer.

And this is my lesson to me today.

Hold your head up high. I am better than they ever knew. They lost out, not me.

Always hold your head up high. Your self respect is your reason to be. It is treasure never to be traded. You hold onto that for ever.

And you will always fight another day, in whatever you do, and tomorrow, I may roar.

I am sorry to hear you did not get the job, but their loss. I understand how you are disappointed and feel wronged for being passed over (understandably so). I am surprised they can ask you ANY questions regarding your health at an interview, where I live this is a human rights thing and not allowed. Regardless, I believe things like this happen for a reason and though may feel awful right not, perhaps something else may be coming soon. You have a great attitude, yes roar, their loss and keep your self respect.
