Hello I am writing here to ask if anyone has a hole it the skin to there eye socket. My eye was removed because of cancer then the effects of radiation have caused a hole I can breathe though it! I would love to talk to anyone, but would like to know someone else that’s had the skin issue xx

Thank you, I am on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Twitter, war on cancer app but so far have not found anyone else with a hole! However it doesn’t mean they are not out there! I learned about this forum from changing faces instagram! It’s wonderful to be here I’ve not explored fully but it’s been a big eye opener for me because there are so many on here with other conditions that are not cancer. I guess it shows how we look for help/ answers within our bubble but there is so many women I can relate to on here.

Hi, I had my eye removed 7 years ago and because of the RT constructive surgery hasn’t worked a d I’ve had over 20 surgeries. I’m left with a rather large hike and I wear a prosthetic over it with an eye patch attached. My cancer was stage 4 , ethmoid sinus cancer but although I on,y has a 2o% chance of surviving 5 years I’m still here!

Im sorry you have had so many surgeries but I’m glad you are still here! I have met some people because I have been active online but I’ve not met anyone with the hole, I am due to have surgery to close the hole it will be a flap - london realised a paper last month saying that they have had success with a flap used on mouth cancer so my dr wants to try that xxx
