A fellow member of the cabaret group with which I sing (more like squawk and croak nowadays) continues to send me photographs of what she refers to as being 'Brent's Corner'. I in turn do what I can to abstract paintings from them -- meaning in the sense of abstracting an image. This is my eight attempt at a painting, showing Brent's Corner in its autumnal hues.

I played around rather, using a combination of acrylic ink and cellophane from the packs my urinary incontinence pads come in (talk about upcycling!) This technique I used in the lower half of the image. I am sure there is lots to discuss with my art therapist -- such as why there are two distinct halves along a horizon? Which half is the present, which the future?

I love having such discussions, as they occasionally lead to insights. But for the moment I am merely sharing this as an example of my latest daubing. I hope you enjoy its rather murky depths.

I have been asked to prepare two things for our palliative care team: A 'with sympathy' card based on Welsh scenery, and a page for a website showing my development (both technical and emotional) as somebody being aided by the team. I must admit to feeling honoured at the thought of both, though the weight of responsibility weighs heavily on my amateur shoulders.
