Good morning all,

Another grey and dreary looking Friday morning here, in contrast to such a sunny and pleasant day yesterday. Oh the joys of November weather.

I was just scrolling through the Positive Wellbeing community on HealthUnlocked and saw a post saying that today is World Kindness Day.

I think that the Care Community must already be pretty much at the top of any list for kindness.

Most of you show or have shown enormous kindness, patience, love, forbearance and a hundred other things, just in the act of caring for someone else.

But don't forget that kindness has to come from within, and if you aren't kind to yourself, you can't radiate it out to others. Here's a little loving kindness meditation, for you, for others and for all who share this planet with us. It only takes a few minutes and can be very calming.

To try it, just sit in as quiet a space as possible, relax and if it will help, close or half close your eyes.

Begin this way:

May I be filled with loving-kindness.

May I be well.

May I be peaceful and at ease.

May I be happy.

Then using the same formula, radiate this out to others, starting with your friends and family. May they be filled with loving kindness, and all of the above.

Then extend it out to the wider community around you, and (a difficult one this), even to those you don't think so highly of.

Widen your good wishes to other towns, countries, continents.

Include your pets, all animals, all creatures which inhabit this planet with us.

In essence we are all in the same 'soup'. We all want the same thing. To be safe and cared for and happy.

Hoping your week went as well as possible. For those in lockdown in England, we have week one behind us. I hope you can all find something satisfying to do over this weekend.

Take care, stay safe, be well, stay happy and continue to be kind! 🙏

Thank you Callendersgal, I love the thought of Kindness Day. I need to meditate and radiate kindness. I’ve just contacted the doctor as Pete has three toes on his left foot that are deep red with a brighter red spot on each one. I have sent a photo to the GP so we’re waiting for a phone call. I’m hoping it’s nothing serious. What next I wonder?

Have a good day and great weekend. Take care everyone and stay safe.

Love the cute picture. Xxxx👍💜😘

Oh my goodness sassy59, that's a development for Pete which you could do without! Like you I hope it's nothing serious and that you can get some advice from your GP once he/she has seen your photograph. Do please let us know how it goes. Sometimes you do have to wonder what's around the next corner as there always seems to be something lurking in the shadows.

Wishing you and Pete loving-kindness and a quick end to this latest worry! 🙏🌈😊💖xxx

Thank you for your kind reply Callendersgal. Pete has spoken to the GP and she feels it’s an ulcer caused by circulatory problems. She wants to see how it goes and keep an eye on things. If it gets any worse he’s to make an appointment with the nurse.

Hospital was mentioned for a test to be done re circulation but Pete won’t go there. I will just keep a close eye on Pete’s toes and hope it doesn’t get any worse.

Take care xxxxx
