Hi all,

Firstly, for any new members, a really warm welcome to our Care community. Please feel free to join in, in any way you wish. We are a friendly crowd of people with lots of experience between us in the challenging world of Caring.

It was lovely to have catch-ups from several of our members on Friday, and following on from that post, I'm happy to report that our trip to Salisbury went really well.

The Park & Ride bus was being well used but everyone was wearing their masks correctly and we felt relatively safe on our short trip into the city, armed with our hand sanitiser to apply the moment we got off.

Salisbury did feel a little different. There were lots of people out and about but it just wasn't as carefree as usual, so an atmospheric thing rather than a tangible one.

We walked our legs off on our usual jaunt around our favourite shops. We have two favourite 'eateries' there, but both seemed as popular as ever, so we chose somewhere a little quieter and sat outside, braving gale force winds and spitting rain.

I can't remember feeling so exhausted at the end of the day before and think I'm still super-unfit after all the months of lockdown! But it was a good tired as we sank down at home afterwards to inspect our purchases over a nice pot of tea!

Hope everyone enjoyed some aspect of their weekend. Did anyone do anything unusual, fun, or pleasant. Do let us know, if so!

Here we go on another blank canvas of a week. I hope it goes well for you all. Take care!

Hi Callendersgal, I’m so pleased your trip to Salisbury went well and you enjoyed your day. Everywhere does seem very different now but hopefully things will change again.

We had friends here yesterday. We haven’t seen them since January so plenty of catching up to do over lunch and coffee.

Seeing our daughter and grandsons this afternoon and son, Dil and granddaughter tomorrow.

Hoping everyone has a good week and stays safe. Love to all xxxx😘🌈

It is such a lovely city and I always think it has such a great vibe. We find the people of Salisbury to be very friendly and welcoming. It's been through such a lot lately between the Novichok crisis and now the pandemic but it's doing its best to brave it all!
