I've been listening to some of the proposed new freedoms we may be able to enjoy in coming weeks as lockdown eases. It's not an easy time for anyone and we are feeling our way in the dark whatever restrictions are lifted. It's almost certain to make many of us fearful.
With that in mind I went in search of quotations on fear and how to overcome it.
This one seems quite relevant to what we are facing now.
“I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.” - Rosa Parks -
Rosa Parks must have screwed up her courage to do what she did when she refused to give up her seat on that bus, and now it's our turn to do the same, as we try to find our way back to a less restricted life.
I think if you set your mind to something then that does indeed diminish fear. Very appropriate for the weeks ahead. Pete and I will make up our own minds and see what we think come the 1st August.
Nothing worse than letting a problem sit on your head and stifle your brain. Do it and be done with and it will shrivel into nothing. Let it sit there and it will grow.
