Quotation for Saturday 20th June 2020

Hi everyone,

I always feel nostalgic on Midsummer's Day. There's a sense that, already we have reached the zenith of the season, and that from today, although imperceptibly at first, the days will begin to shorten again.

This year the feeling is especially strong, as it feels as though we've been partially robbed of our enjoyment of summer.

I have to remind myself that there is still lots of summer left and to hope that we will increasingly get to enjoy what's left of it a little more.

With that in mind, here's my quotation on summer, for today.

"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of water or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time". -John Lubbock-

I completely agree!

Enjoy your day everyone🌈😊

That’s a really good quote and one l particularly like. We all have to make the most of summer as it passes so quickly. I’m not a fan of winter so am enjoying the longer days for now.

Have a lovely day. Xxx😘💖
