I think the Bank Holiday weather has proved to be pretty traditional down here on the south coast even though the holiday itself definitely hasn't been.
My weekend was spent in being entirely lazy. I did a short walk yesterday morning, but more through duty than pleasure as it was drizzling, and I chickened out entirely this morning as first thing it was really dreary and unpleasant looking. The weather is bucking up a bit now though.
How's everyone else been getting on? It was good to hear from some of you through the past week, either here or at the Positive Wellbeing forum. I like to hope everyone's doing OK, but I'm keenly aware that problems with caring never ever all go away.
I think it's been encouraging to see the first signs that the worst of this crisis is passing. We have a long way to go yet, but this is cause for a little bit of hope. An end to the beginning, maybe?
I keep hearing of people who are shielded, now getting their first food boxes, so I hope by now that that's running a bit more smoothly and the worry of how to even get shopping is past. It does take time to get things up and running in crises. I remember a couple of times in the Caribbean it being slow after big weather events and it does get, not only frustrating, but scary too to have your usual infrastructure just suddenly wiped out.
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend as best they could and I'm thinking of you all.
Hi sassy59, Well it's vitally important to keep Pete safe, and for everyone else who needs shielding too. It must seem forever, and to be honest I don't think that even for those people who get a bit of a relaxation in the rules they are going to find things very much different at first. For myself I'll actually be very wary of going out and feel pretty sure I'll have to make myself try to restore a bit of normality. 🌿🌺🌿🙏
