It’s the end of a busy week once again. How has your week gone? Do let us know the good and the not so good moments.
Last week-end the weather was really awful where I live. When I was looking out at all the rain I got to thinking that it was nearly time to book in an appointment to have the boiler serviced for winter! Then I realised that I hadn’t had it done for two years!
So here’s hoping for something a bit better on the weather front this weekend.
Perhaps you could share with us whatever you are planning to do.
Have a good weekend

Hello MAS_Nurse, not a bad week here. Spent time with family and caught up with my sister yesterday. It’s meant to be windy this weekend so we’ll have to see if we can get out somewhere. Next week is meant to be better weather wise.
At the moment I'm struggling health wise, I had a repeat vitamin D blood test booked 6 weeks ago, it wasn't until afterwards that I was told they were doing a full blood count and no one told me, GP rang said everything was fine except for protein levels which would either be liver or kidney, liver function was fine so I was told to book a repeat test for my kidneys, I looked around and realised that the only thing different was my calcium and vitamin D supplements so I purposely didn't take them for a week, went round for kidney test on Monday only to be told that they were taking 3 samples, I was not happy, cried, because I'm being told one thing and something else is being done, so we settled on one test for kidneys and liver, that was Monday morning, it's now Friday evening and I haven't heard from GP so guessing everything is ok, consequently I was right that it was my supplements causing the problems. The upside to my life is that next week I'm meeting my friend's daughter for lunch, I have a birthday and I'm on annual leave on the bank holiday weekend as it's my sisters birthday, and hopefully I'll get to see mum a couple of times as well, stay dry in this weather
So sorry to hear about your health issues jennymary. I think it is important to try to come to some agreement with your GP surgery when you aren't happy with the way they are handling your tests and treatments. We can only give so much patience to the problems that GPs are experiencing at the moment with lack of time and appointments. If we can't get timely treatment and understand what our tests are, we lose all confidence.
I'm glad to hear that your week ended on a bit more of a high anyway! Hang in there!
Well Friday nearly over and managed not to brake out a crunchy lol

I think you are doing OK in the wit department JAS. You always seem to stay upbeat, even when things aren't going so well. It's a huge bonus when you can do that. Have a good weekend!

Hi MAS_Nurse,
The start to my week was pretty average but I have to say that, until today, the weather has been kinder here on the south coast, than yours was. I enjoyed a day out in the New Forest with my husband on a lovely sunny Tuesday, pottering around in Lyndhurst and just generally enjoying the leafy highways and byways. As you point out, we'd better enjoy as much as we can, as autumn is almost in the air again now.
The ending to my week has been great, due to a huge problem being lifted from my shoulders. Nothing life or death or even health related, but something really troubling which took an awful lot of attempts to be sorted out. Yesterday I had an Ombudsman's decision that found in my favour and it has ended months of uncertainty and I can move forward again, and happily with less worry. It's noticeable isn't it, how much lighter we feel when a problem goes away? They really do weigh down heavily. So for anyone else who is struggling in that way, I hope you find some light at the end of your tunnel soon too. And I hope that everyone enjoys the weekend in the best way they are able.
