At Doc’s Tomorrow AFTER Question’s Re Eating and Drinking At End Of Life & Medication

Not a topic I want to see dad’s doctor about BUT every time dad eats drinks HE’s coughing and chocking and as reduced apitite.

NOW don’t know if it’s because he as head down or swallowing Issue down to he’s dementia Alzheimer’s.

But got to see doc about medication AND what to do if chocking

In other Issue DOCTORS found pulmonary lesson 56mm as well as load of small ones on both lungs SO I want clarification AS to this pulmonary lesson AS given it’s size location SOUNDS to me like pulmonary mass

Clearly not impressed AS if is cancer hospital doctors should of told us EVEN if unwell for further test BUT guess that’s how dementia Alzheimer’s patients are treated

Hi JAS, Must be heartbreaking having to tackle this, but a very wise thing to go and discuss it with your dad's doctor.

The main thing is to just find out how to cope best with your dad's choking which will allow him a means of getting nourishment without it being too distressful for him, and for you too.

I do agree that, even when it's too late for anything to be done, it's still necessary for you to be told of any new development concerning your dad's condition, so I hope nothing was withheld from you.

But anyway, thinking of you and I hope you'll get some information that will help you both get through the next little while.

Very best wishes.

Hi Callendersgal in rush to get dad home hospital sent all he’s notes 📝 records

I don’t understand DOCTORS Latin handwriting but LIKE many of the un educated do UNDER stand pictures.

And that’s where seen writing and picture .. clearly nothing can be done but I would like to know so dad dose not suffer AND that’s why think something should of been said to family AS we are dad’s legal guardians advocates AND that’s what ****** me off about hospital doctor re dad’s care treatment.

On both occasions of hospital visits stays WE have not seen dad’s doctors SO like I said to nurse WHO is doctor communicating with if not family TOLD nurse my dad’s not been abandoned.

Then asked nurse is doctor communicating with aliens 👽 or those on mars.

Told nurse is 21st century and we do have a phone 📞

Anyway I can’t get stressed really but I want to know and what to do about meds and chocking issues mainly how save him.

Asked dad’s carers and they did not know with someone so frail

I have trouble swallowing and often cough. I was referred to the SALT team - Speech and Language team, who also cover Swallowing problems. Well, that is in Addenbrookes. It is worth finding out if you could have a referral/talk with them maybe? They will be able to give you some advice at least.
