Well dad’s still In Hospital infection Shows NO signs of abating.

Except now dad as sore bum from hospital leaving dad stewing in pads and sore elbow AS wont go bed.

Past week as been trying and dad as tried to stay upbeat but it’s been effort for him and us.

I sit there telling him helping him to eat drink AND long for day he will open eyes and look at me.

I don’t know what it is but dad now WELL for some time as he’s eyes closed even when awake.

It’s HEART breaking how poor care and Alzheimer’s is trying to take my dad away from me dispite my best efforts EVEN my dad’s apears to be giving up.

His arms are just like branches blowing in the wind THAT you try orianate to a Fashion in order to eat and drink AND it’s heard as dad was such a proud man.

Even he’s ability to blow is nose as vanished to where I don’t know BUT trying to eat and drink with congested noses is not great when fit and well

How he copes well I don’t Know AM just glad he dose so well.

Well Easter weekend is nearly here and my next port of call will be dad’s social worker who talks the talk but will not do the walk THINK all sit on fence when comes to complaining about other agencies CLEARLY not what my idea of social worker is.

Guess that’s why am not one AS sitting on the fence when bad things happen is not my strong poin AND thinking about it SHOULD not be there’s eather.

Oh dear JAS, how awful for you and the family. You’re dear dad sounds really poorly and I feel for you all.

It’s not that he’s giving up but the cruel disease that is Alzheimer’s seems to be taking over.

You can only do your best and you’re already doing that. Please take care of yourself and stay well.

I’m thinking of you all. Xxxx

Good to hear from you. That sore bum.is it a pressure sore? Did he get it since being admitted? If so it has to be treated as an incident on the ward and an incident form has to be completed.

They should be watching it like a hawk so if they are leaving him with a wet bum make a complaint official.

This is something else that I had to deal with before my husband had his brain injury and he was in hospital.

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in very soon and your Dad will be a bit better in himself.

Remember to have a bit of a rest yourself x

Hi JeffAjaxSmith,

Thanks for sharing the latest update of your struggles to keep your dad well looked after. It really is heartbreaking to watch a loved one slowly becoming weaker because of a health condition and I can tell how much it is hurting you.

You've done such an amazing job with your dad and your great love for him is very evident. I think the fact that he's still there with you is a testimony of how much you've fought his corner with everyone and how well you care for him personally.

Your dad's a very lucky person to have you.

Hi JAS, I feel so sorry that you are going through such a difficult time. I hope you see a sign of improvement soon.

My heart goes out to you.

Try to take care of yourself (I say try because the only person you think of is your wonderful dad).

Sending love and hugs to you

Pat x
