Looking for information about financial help for live in care. I would prefer the person concerned to be at home rather than in a nursing home.

Hi Constantine23, You may find it helpful to look on Related, Pinned and Topic Posts to the right of the screen. Also the following websites may also be helpful-- ageuk.org.uk/home-and-care/..., Funding Care---nhs.uk/conditions/social-ca... and moneyadviceservice.org.uk I hope this helps. Best wishes.

We have a live in carer for my husband who is 91 and has Dementia. I get no financial help at all because our savings are over £24,000. I have been told by a Council representative to let them know when our finances hit £25,000 and then they would do an assessment.

It is all expensive!
