I am sure you can. Speak to Care for Carers, they are a mine of information about help you can receive.

firstly get in touch with your local adult social services dept and ask them to carry out a personal assessment on mum and a carers assessment for yourself

Is your mum claiming pip, dla or attendance allowence, if not contact your local CAB for help to claim and if successful will open a lot of other entitlements up for you both.

Depending on your mums disabilities and nursing requirements she could be entitled to a personal budget from the local authority to help fund her care needs. Cam explain more about this if you need.

Also, depending on her medical needs she may be entitled to continuing health funding from the NHS, this can be difficult to get, but an Independent support broker would be able to assist you in all of the above issues.See the website for the national brokerage network who can connect you to a local broker
