Did anyone get shingles? My husband started cellcept, prednisone (80 mg), and bactrim DS 3 weeks ago. His nephrologist is out of the country. One of the other doctors suggested tapering down to 40mg and wait until nephrologist gets back in town. I’m curious if anyone got shingles and what your doctor suggested.

What did your doctor suggest? I hope your husband is doing better?
He is doing better. Thanks for asking! Doctor dropped prednisone down and took him off bactrim until flare up calmed down. He is better and back up to regular dosage of meds. And they are thankfully working wonders! With the meds and a complete overhaul on eating habits, his kidney numbers are perfect. Amazing. Worked fast.
