Hello SUS776. I had a look back at some earlier posts of yours and I see you’ve been suffering on and off for a few years now. That’s the trouble with tinnitus, you think you’ve got it more or less under control and then you find it comes at you from a different direction.

I expect you’re familiar with the British Tinnitus Association; their website has a lot of helpful information. In particular they have a study programme you can do called Take on Tinnitus. It’s on their website. You might have done it before but it could be worth you going through it again. It might give you some ideas on how to help yourself.

Other than that have a look at what you’ve been doing lately, have you had extra pressures to cope with? Christmas? Covid? Look to see what in your life you can do to help yourself. I find that going for walks in the open air, especially where are are trees, is very helpful for my mental balance. I listen to the wind, the birds, the rain : rather than the T.

Maybe go back to your Doctor to gain reassurance on these side effects. I know from personal experience coming off anti-depressants can be difficult and it takes time for them to leave our systems and the subsequent change in brain chemistry to settle down. If your doctor is 'happy' with these side effects then maybe use some of the calming and relaxing techniques posted on BTA website to try and reduce some of the anxiety in dealing with this reductions in meds. Good examples are (there are many more on their website):

tinnitus.org.uk/ideas-for-r...

tinnitus.org.uk/relaxation

tinnitus.org.uk/relaxation-...

I suffered with vertigo (BBPV) and I used the Brandt Darroff exercises google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q... (similar to epliy maneuver) which really helped with my type of vertigo (again suggest you talk to your doctor).

As rabbit65 says there was a similar post a few hours ago which may be useful.

Hope this helps in some small way. Stay safe
