Tinnitus is back after Vacation

Went to Yellowstone National Park for week. Tinnitus went away, now back home and its back. Only thing I can think of is that elevation of the park made a difference with tennitus, back at home elevation is nominal, and T is back. Anyone ever had same experience?

That’s fascinating Ednort. I’ve never been to Yellowstone but I’ve been at high elevations and they have never made a difference to my perception of T. Perhaps you were enjoying yourself so much that you didn’t notice it?

No, I'm convinced that altitude somehow effects the T in a + way!!

Like Rosie I think it is more to do with you enjoying yourself than the altitude, but maybe you are right.

My Tinnitus hardly ever varies in intensity.

No but if I ever experience it. I’m going to pack my bags and move where myTinnitus likes it best

I think there may something in the altitude thing - a differing altitude will re-pressurize the head and body. Any mountain climbers or deep sea divers on here?

😃

The area that I was staying at was Approx. 7,000 Feet or 2133.6 meters( I had to look that conversion up) 😀

We need to be careful here. The individual's that believe that Tinnitus can possibly be alleviated because someone was "enjoying themselves", I have not heard of this. Not saying that maybe Meditation or some other program may help some people in the short term. During the day when I am out and about I don't usually hear my T . Its at night when I am trying to fall asleep! Don't be like some of these quack doctors who would probably give the same response.

I think elevation and pressure do affect my PT. When I was in Cornwall UK earlier in the year the road goes up and down a lot and my ear started popping which it hasn't done since before the start of my Tinnitus. It seemed to improve at the time and when I returned home to a rather flat county it came back on a lot more and wasn't popping. I'm convinced pressure pays a significant part in controlling my own PT (not necessarily causing it).
