I am 19 and have recently started Accutane, a medication for acne. However, the ringing of my ears has gotten worse since I have been taking the medication. I am stopping the treatment. Since I am stopping the treatment, will the ringing gradually stop over time?
Also what are good ways to prevent tinnitus?

Generally speaking, if a medication has triggered tinnitus then stopping the medication means that the tinnitus will fade - it might not be immediate though.
Best way to prevent T is to protect your hearing. Learn & understand how loud certain situations are and take steps to protect your ears when necessary. At 19 I was going to gigs & clubs regularly and never gave a moments thought to the possibility of damaging my hearing. The 3days of ringing ears after a gig was just one of those things, it genuinely never occurred to me that it was a bad thing.
Now that I know different, I'd liken it to looking directly at the sun - everyone knows that's going to damage your eyes, but worryingly few people are aware of the damage that can be done to hearing in loud environments.
