Meniere's disease?

I have an appointment with ENT on the 11th after after explaining my symptoms with my doctor and a hearing test ! I am getting more apprehensive as it get's closer because the doctor feels it may be Meniere's disease. I'm hoping the cause may be something else! Can anyone tell me their experience.....

I have Menieres and had it over 12 years.

Try not to worry if it is.Even though its a horrible disease with lots of symptoms their is medication to help with some of it ....lots of love glynis

Thank you, Glynis.............. My main worry is possibly losing my hearing over time!

The vertigo was a bit of a shock but trying to get my head it, that is when it stops spinning! True worrying about isn't going to change the outcome.

Do you manage to lead a normal life with it? I imagine it varies from one person to another. Still, wait and see is all I can do atm! Take care. Carol.

Hi Carol,

My early years were terrible but now its the hearing loss and sever tinnitus that causes the problems as have really sever tinnitus both high pitch and a hoover sound at the same time and trouble masking it ...lots of love glynis

Sorry to hear how much you've suffered. Can't imagine how debilitating that must be!
