I have Axial SpA, more commonly known as Ankylosing spondylitis an autoimmune disease. I looked up whether Sudden Hearing Loss and tinnitus can be related to this condition. It apparently can relate to Rheumatoid arthritis. I wondered how many people here have autoimmune diseases........?

My husband has Ank Spond. It’s closely related to psoriatic arthritis and also an eye issue, I think iritis. I’ve never seen any reference to Rheumatoid arthritis. Nor to tinnitus and hearing loss. My husband doesn’t have tinnitus and his hearing loss is gradual and age-related.
Are you familiar with NASS? The charity which specialises in AS. Very helpful.
I have an autoimmune disease, AIH, and I get Azathioprin( Imurel) for that.
I had tinnitus before I got AIH, but it got much worse after starting on Azathioprin.
My doctor still claim, that Azathioprin is not a side effect. I have just had to increase dose and that has worsened my tinnitus extremely.🥲
yes, it is a mystery. 🧐
