Any tips for getting your breath back ?

watcha!

I needed to get a few items from Lidl today. It’s only a short walk and getting there are no inclines. I was walking slowly but got so out of breath I had to stop. I just couldn’t take air in enough. I tried using my ventolin inhaler with spacer ( I’m asthmatic as well ) and couldn’t get the ventolin down. I had the urge to fold myself over and try and breath that way and over a 10 mins breathing slowed so I could take air in. I just wondered if anyone had any tips and if this has happened to them and if they had that bending downwards urge ? I found it very embarassing to be doing this on the pavement where everybody was looking.
