Travelling with Nebulising

Hi to you all

I am hoping to go to Italy in May on a boat but I have no idea how to sterilise my neb kit

I microwave steam at home BUT I can keep going to the Kitchen to ask on the boat - they may not let me for H&S reasons

I wondered about Milton tablets in a bowl or Jug but will have to boil and cool water

I appreciate any tips from anyone who has travelled with this dilema

I am trying to be as compact as I can also

Thanks

I had the same dilemma last summer! On a Cystic Fibrosis site, I found someone who used an electric egg cooker (about £22 from Lakeland or various makes on Amazon - mine is called Neo). I always filled the water tank to max amount of the measuring jug which comes with it, which gave about 10 minutes of steam (needed to kill pseudomonas etc). Look for one which switches itself off automatically though. My Innospire Go fitted perfectly but the cup from the Pari LC sprint also fits. Because I was a bit fearful of melting anything, I also put a piece of perforated silicone (which I cut from a silicone vegetable steamer) on top of the tray that holds the eggs (under the nebuliser). I travelled round Germany, France and Italy with it for a month and it worked brilliantly and didn't take up much space (and you can also rustle up a snack if needed😉). I left the nebuliser to dry on paper towels afterwards. It's probably a good idea to take a little bottle of spirit vinegar too, to clean the metal plate every now and then if the water is hard. For holidaying by car in UK, I now take my Tommee Tippee baby bottle steam steriliser and drier. If you remove the tall section for the bottles, you're left with something about the size of a shoebox. I'm also wondering about getting a silicone collapsible electric hotpot which I've seen discussed on some US sites for travelling with nebulisers. Anyway, hope that's of some use and have a great holiday!!
