My chest hurts and I have a hard time breathing, almost panting ..And wobbly .

Is there something to take before the treatment to prevent this?

I have only taken this for less than a week, twice a day.

Will these side effects go away and if so, when?

Any help appreciated.

Hello Lapis5, I used to take nebulised colistin but within days it gave me flu like symptoms. My bronchiectasis doctor advised to stop using it immediately. I had a supervised test dose at the hospital before going home with all the kit and recall that some of the things they look for are changes in breathing and chest tightness. If I was in your position I would stop taking it and contact your specialist urgently. That said, I am not medically trained. I hope you get it sorted and feel been soon.

I was given salbutamol to nebulise at the same time which stopped it for me x
