Hi Phill1 it’s a long time since I had the dreaded cipro. I can recall it upsetting my stomach but not heartburn. I think you need some gaviscon. If this doesn’t help speak to your GP about some omeprazole as a preventative. Once you have the dreaded pseudomonas it does like to lurk around and then come back again and cipro is the only oral antibiotic for it. Good luck I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks… think I will ask for omeprazole if I have to take cipro again.👍 And I’ve got Gaviscon now which has helpedDon’t appreciate these side affects!

Thanks Patk.. I’ll take note of the making sure I take abx with food.. Not sure I did that last time🙄I did start carbocysteine.. had been on it for about 2-3 weeks .. when all this kicked off but not really noticed a great difference from taking NAC to be honest

Stopped the carbo now back on NAC 1 daily.. as needing to take 6 carbo a day plus the ciprofloxacin plus probiotics just got too much!

Carbo must work ok for you then?
