Yes Janlyn1953, I had been many years on antibiotics + prednisolone steroid tablets as a matter of fact I required them every 4/6 weeks, as I was very breathless I was eventually seen by a Respiratory Consultant who prescribed 200 mg daily dose of Intaconozole tablets,I found that my feet & ankles were very swollen on those tablets, my Consultant prescribed water tablets which took all the swelling down, & I was having regular blood tests, My daily dose of Intaconozole was then increased to 400 mg daily, which I have to say I have never felt better, I think that after a 6 month course on Intrconozole my fungal lung infection, has now been cured, but in saying that I still take my preventer inhaler each day.At all times have a full meal before taking Intrconozole & drink plenty of water..I hope this helps you a little & I wish you good health & much happiness for the future..Take care ,& may God Bless you always..xPrimrose 123..

I have taken it. It’s important to have blood levels of itraconazole from time to time to make sure there is the right amount in your blood. Too much and you can have side effects; too little and it’s not effective. The blood is taken just before a dose is due.
