Hi, I'm new here. I have been diagnosed with mild bronchiectasis for about a year now. I don't have many problems except a persistent cough and a problem feeling fatigued. My cough does not affect my sleep, but first thing in morning I cough for about 30 mins and then cough most of the day.
My question is whether others have the same symptoms or do I have something else ?

Hi I have had asthma for 18 yrs - always under control. The beginning of the year I started getting shortness of breathe and coughing. I went to ER twice and was told I had an upper respiratory infection and to "eat toast". Finally my primary doctor had me see a pulmonary doctor who ordered numerous test. CT Scan showed mild bronchiectasis and collapsed airways. When I asked questions all I was told was "I don't know". My main symptions are shortness of breath and coughing. Today I am seeing a bronchiectasis specialist. I have been praying that he will be able to answer my questions and put me on a maintenance plan that will help me. I have done a lot of research and found out that there is such a thing as dry bronchiectasis where you aren't coughing up mucus. Be proactive and find a doctor who understands you as a person
