I am going to the hospital on Wednesday to have a camera but down to see my lungs going to be heavily sedated not looking forward to that

I hope all goes well for you. Personally, I’d be happy with the sedation which, in my opinion, reduces the stress of such procedures.

It was cancelled until the 4 th August

I had the procedure done following my Bronchiectasis diagnosis. I think that I was lightly sedated, but definitely not awake. I was told that I might have a sore throat or a cough afterwards, but I had no ill effects. I think that we’re all nervous or worried prior to a new medical procedure. Good luck on Wednesday. It will be over before you know it!

I had a bronchoscopy years ago & had sedation. I can’t remember any of it. I took a book to read with me - one that I had read before - & because of the sedation, although I was reading it I couldn’t remember what I had read!!

I think the thought of it is worse than it actually is. Good luck with it x

I am due to have that done too but my hospital is closed for that procedure due to Coronvirus.
