I am now on clarithromvcin antibiotics for asthma/bronchiectasis ,would appreciate any reviews on tjis anti biotic,I previously have been on Amoxicillin..Thank you.

Hi Primrose. I had previously been on clarithromycin long-term when I was being treated for asthma on its own but when I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis as well, I was immediately taken off that. Now when I get an infection I take Doxycycline which seems to work for me but like you I have also been given Amoxicillin in the past, which I think is probably the ‘go to’ antibiotics for GP’s to start with. Hope that helps.
